I am an avid reader. Generally I tend more towards non-fiction
than fiction. This hasn't always been the case. When I was growing up and well
into my twenties I primarily read fiction. Since July 2004 I've been keeping
a list of the books I've read. So far my top three are Myself a Mandarin
by Austin Coates, For the Time Being by Annie Dillard, and
The Brothers K by David James Duncan.
I would also recommend A Peace to End All Peace by David Fromkin
as an excellent background to current events in the Middle East.
The Rating column is a quick attempt to give my overall
impression of the book. The scale is in stars: 1 (low) - 5 (high).
