What is Red Fish?

It's basically a vanity website for a geeky boy from the Pacific Northwest, USA (moved to Spokane in 2006, previously at Holden Village, and soon to be back in Seattle). So the only stuff that's being produced here is for my own idiosyncratic pleasure.

Why the name Red Fish?

A few different reasons:

• My father called me "The Fish" when I was growing up because I swam on a swim team
• I am a Pisces
• I have red hair

Since I didn't have any other nickname to use online, I chose Red Fish. And it's red-fish (dot) org because red-fish (dot) com was already taken, and I didn't like the implications of red-fish (dot) net (read it without the "dot" if you can't figure out what I'm talking about).

Travelogue, photos, and art

In the summer of 2001 I traveled around the world. Read about it here. A selection of photos from studying art in Sweden (2002-2003) is here. I've put some samples of my artwork here. I am notoriously slow about posting updates and more photos.

Books read

I love to read and have started keeping track of which titles I've read. Just a list with a simple rating system, but no commentary or reviews.
